Well.  It's happening.  I warned you people this would happen.  I predicted this years ago.  First, I predicted that lawsuits against tobacco companies wouldn't stop there.  And sure enough, they didn't.  Lawsuits were filed against gun manufacturers.  Never in my life have I seen an ad for guns that stated "A great weapon to kill a cop with!" or "our guns are great for killing the defenseless homeowner you're trying to rob!"  But it happened anyway.   Lawsuits were also filed against automakers because the cars weren't "safe enough" in accidents.  Here's an idea... DRIVE BETTER!  And don't say that you can't avoid accidents, because you can.  Especially lethal accidents.  And even if you can't, it's not the automakers faults.  If the other driver is driving in such a manner that it would kill people in another car, you would have to build a tank to be able to save the people inside.

I also predicted the housing market crash.  Though, admittedly, I was off by one year.  I also predicted it would affect every aspect of our economy and not just the housing market and lenders.

And I predicted the tax on pop!  (I'm originally from Ohio and refuse to call it soda!)  And I'm predicting IT WILL NOT STOP HERE!  They will tax candy bars, salty snacks, any cereal that tasted good, red meat, hell, it'd be easier to name what they won't tax... anything made of rice cakes and tofu. 

The liberals in congress are trying to pass this tax to pay for socialized medicine, and because they know what's good for us better than we do.  They even want the tax to include Capri Sun!  Give me a break.  Juice boxes? 

This isn't about socialized medicine.  It's not about them knowing what's good for us.  It's about power, and the removal of our freedoms.  It's as simple as that.  They only use these other reasons as a ruse to try to pull the wool over our eyes.  They claim it will help make people healthier.  Really?  I know plenty of people who drink plenty of pop and are fit as fiddles.  I know plenty of people who drink no pop and are overweight. 

It's not about what you eat or drink.  It's about your lifestyle.  THAT'S what determines how fat you are.  If you eat 500 pounds of apples every day, guess what?  You're going to get fat!!!  But you can't convince the morons in congress of that.  They'll just punish everyone and raise your taxes.  But it's ok.  Because you got a $13 a week tax break.

They want to tax it because they want to pass socialized medicine.  Even though many, if not most, do not want it.  I worked hard to find a good job with good benefits.  Leave my damn health insurance alone!  The morons in DC ruined social security and medicare.  But the liberal dolts out there think they can handle socialized medicine for everyone???  Yeah, ok.  I'll believe that when me poop turns purple and smells of rainbow sherbert! ("Super Troopers" reference! lol)

Regardless of it all... and you heard it here first... I GUARANTEE that if this passes, it will not stop at pop!  It will spread, and spread fast.  They will tax us until we have nothing left.  They tax your utilities, your home, your income, your savings, what you spend, everything.  Tax, tax, tax, tax.  It's all the liberals do, and it's what they will continue to do.  They will continue to do this, until they have control over every aspect of your life. 

This time I hope my predictions are wrong.  But I highly doubt it.  It's unfortunately just the Grim Truth!

More evidence is piling up the the loony green crowd is full of... um... compost.  These people have been pushing global warming down our throats for years now.  They keep telling us it's our fault.  They blame coal, oil companies, SUVs, and even jogging.  Those of us who are more reasonable refused to believe this hokey science, though some just agreed there was global warming, but it wasn't our fault. 

Well guess what?  Even if it exists, and it's our fault, then they need to thank us!  The sun has been oddly quiet lately.  The fact that there has been a lull in solar flares, sun spots, etc., is leading some scientists to believe it could COOL the earth!  The mini ice age, from 1300AD to 1830AD is believed to have been caused by a lull in solar activity.  Many of these same scientists believe that the Earth is still warming up from this.

But you can't tell those wacky green activists this.  They just change it from "global warming" to "climate change."  Now, why would they change the name of it?  Normally, when folks on the left go changing names of things, it's all in the name of political correctness.  But somehow I just don't think it's the case this time.  I mean, how can it be about political correctness?  Who the heck are we offending now?  They changed it because they know we know they are wrong.  They changed it to cover up their lies and misleadings.

But it's ok now.  I say go back to man made global warming.  Then they can thank us for it, because it will make the next mini ice age less severe!

The lower water levels in the Great Lakes is also just a natural occurrence that has nothing to do with mankind.  I wonder what these folks will do when everyone finally catches on to their lies?

Another wacky report from the folks at the Department of Homeland Security!  At least this time, they had the decency to lump EVERYONE into some sort of extremist group!

The conservative right (you  know, the ones who cling to religion and guns) have finally won a good fight!  A teacher ridiculed a student's beliefs during class.  Claiming that creationism is "superstitious nonsense."  This young man did the right thing.  He decided he wasn't going to sit back and let a left-wing indoctrinator push him around!  The best part, was that he asked for no money, just that the teacher would have to stop bashing religion.  The bad part is, the school district paid for the attorneys and cost taxpayers more money. 

I still wonder why the left always refuses to even look at the other side of arguments.  Why not teach the theory of creationism along with the theory of evolution?  Or are they worried that folks will realize evolution sounds pretty darn silly.  Come on, all the species on this Earth, and we're the only ones to evolve to this level?  And it all be random?  I guess they're worried folks will quit buying into their indoctrination.

Yes, you heard it here first!  The end of the world is upon us!  How do I know?  Here's how:

The Eastern Ice shelf in Antarctica is growing, and according to Radio Bremen in Germany, an international expedition of 20 scientists found that Arctic ice is TWICE as thick as previously thought.  Which means hell is freezing over!  Another sign, remember when folks always said, "sure, when pigs fly"??  Well, swine flu!

And the number one reason I know the end of the world is near...  President Obama has actually made a good decision!  Yes!  I know.  I thought I was hallucinating due to swine flu symptoms or something.  But he is actually calling for a crackdown on companies that employ illegal citizens!  While there is still much desired in his immigration policies, this is a good start, and he deserves credit for this.  Unlike the wacky left who suffered from Bush derangement syndrome and Palin derangement syndrome, I will give credit where credit is due.  And I expect the same from the rest of my "right wing extremists." 

Illegals DO hurt the economy.  They DO take jobs Americans want.  Companies save a fortune by hiring illegals.  That's why I'm glad to see the President pushing for tougher fines for these companies.  But it's not enough.  We need to look at why these companies do this.  Minimum wage is getting too high.  On top of the other benefits and government mandated programs, it actually costs companies upwards of three times minimum wage to hire folks.  There's health benefits, social security, medicare, unemployment insurance, the list goes on and on.  By hiring illegals, they can pay them what they want, without all the wacky extras.  This needs to be fixed folks. 

Why hasn't anyone noticed that correlation?  Minimum wage increase... recession.  Hmmmm....  call me loony but it seems to always repeat every time there is an increase in minimum wage.  I brought this up before.  It happened before.  It's happening now.

Minimum wage increased in 2007 by .70 an hour and a recession followed.  In 1996 and 1997, minimum wage increased almost a dollar.  A recession followed shortly after.  Another increase of nearly a dollar through the late seventies gave us a recession in 1980.  Are you seeing a pattern here?

Every time this happens, Americans lose jobs due to the recessions.  They also lose jobs due to illegal immigrants sucking up those jobs.  And the President deserves some kudos for pushing for harsher penalties for those who break the law.  And I am giving him those kudos. 

Now if he would just listen to us on the other 99.9% of the issues....

Swine Flu Fears Close Numerous Schools in Several States

I always knew it would just be a matter of time before the pigs got their own mass hysteria disease!  Mad cow disease.  Avian flue.  Finally swine flu!  The current president is wasting no time making sure he doesn't waste this "crisis." 

"He said the swine flu threat dramatizes how the United States cannot allow itself to fall behind in scientific and medical research."  See?  He's already trying to use this "crisis" to further his healthcare agenda.  Even though, from everything I've read and researched, this doesn't sound any worse than a regular flu. 

In Mexico, the media is already claiming over 100 lives lost to swine flu.  Problem:  only 22 were confirmed as swine flu.  I wonder how many die every year from swine flue?  It is not a new disease.  It has been around for who knows how long and has infected humans in the past. 

The EU is already telling people not to visit Mexico or the U.S.  Heck, they've been saying this for a long time.  Now they just have a reason to back up their anti-American policies.

This is nothing more than the medical scare we must receive every two years or so.  There's been mad cow disease, avian flu, hanta virus, west nile virus, SARS, none of which ever really amounted to much.  Sure, it's sad when people get sick and die.  But it doesn't help anything when our government and the media continuously cry wolf.  People will begin to ignore them, and too many will die when some nasty epidemic finally does strike. 

But it's ok.  Our President will make sure you all have government healthcare.  It will be fine.  Trust me.  Just look how well they did with Social Security!

Are 'No-Fail' Grading Systems Hurting or Helping Students?

This is just getting stupid.  Actually, it's just making our children stupid.  These ridiculous policies allow children to make up work they didn't do on time, retake tests, and basically pass without having to do the work other students do.  While my childrens' schools do not take it to this level...yet... they do not use the traditional letter grade systems.  What do they get?  N.  Needs improvement.  Or S, satisfactory.  Ok, so what does that mean?  Does the N mean they barely aren't making it, or are they failing miserably?  How about S?  Are they just making it, or are they doing great?  Parents need to know these things.   If my children are just making it, I want to know, so I can get them to try harder.  Think about it.  S basically covers everything from C to A+.  That's a pretty good range there.  It's time to go back to the old standards so we know EXACTLY where they stand.  MAKE parents get involved.  These systems almost remove parents from the equation. 

At least Texas got it right (again) and banned these "No-Fail" policies.  I think our government does this on purpose to make our children less intelligent, so they don't realize what is being done to the Nation that they will inherit in a few years...

President Obama has again flip-flopped on his stance on investigations into torturing terror suspects.  Now he's against investigations.  Why?  Because the American people knew it was a waste of time and nothing more than partisan politics as usual.  While it makes me sad to see we have a leader who cannot make his own decisions and instead bases them solely on polls, it makes me a bit comforted to know that as the people, we can make our voices heard.  Now only if he would hear our voices on the economy and taxes.

But good ol' Nancy Pelosi still wants investigations, even though she knew damn well what was going on during the Bush administration.  She still just likes her partisan politics.

You have got to be kidding me.  I could maybe understand if it was something that happened at a salon.  Wait.  No I couldn't.  Not $160 million!  Burns on her lower back, breast and right thigh?  All while she was removing the container from the microwave?  How is that even possible? I think she was doing something she really shouldn't have been and is looking for a quick payout.  Scratch that.  I KNOW she is doing that, otherwise she wouldn't be suing for such an insane amount.  Remember folks, most politicians are lawyers who file these kinds of cases...

Obama Appointee Suggests Radical Plan for Newspaper Bailout

They just don't stop, do they?  More bailouts for liberal failures.  This needs to stop.  It should have never started.  President Bush made the largest mistake of his career when he started these bogus bailout plans.  If you can't sell your product and make a profit, you either need to quit or fix whatever it is you're doing wrong.  The taxpayers of this nation should not have to foot the bill for your failure.  These bailouts will never help the economy.  Why?  Because these companies will not fix what it is they're doing wrong.  The simple fact that they asked for bailouts proves it.  If they were willing to fix it, they would do it, and not ask for bailouts. 

I also find it a bit strange to see that the most liberal groups out there are getting the largest bailouts.  AIG.  Gets $180 billion.  No questions asked.  AIG were also some of the biggest contributors to leftist politicians.  GM.  Or should I actually say the UAW.  GM would be best served by filing reorganization bankruptcy.  If they did that, the UAW contracts become null and void, and GM can reconfigure employee benefits to more realistic levels.  But the liberals in charge will never let that happen.  They will continue to prop up GM so their pals in the UAW can keep stealing money from us.  Don't believe me?  Then why wasn't the UAW president also asked to resign alongside Wagoner?

Cable Anchors, Guests Use Tea Parties as Platform for Frat House Humor

This irks me the most.  Not because they made a pathetic attempt with sophomoric humor to insult us, but because they're mad that we're mad about what they used to be mad about!  Let me explain.  Six months ago, these liberals in the media were mad as hell at Bush and others for their spending.  But now, they seem to think it's all ok.  Why?  Simply because their liberal pals are now in charge?  It proves they do not really care about America at all.  If they did, they would have been out there protesting right along with the others.  But instead, they prefer their bull crap partisan politics. It's about bashing the other side to them, even when the other side follows through with what they were crying about.

I also find it ridiculous to assume everyone at the tea party protests were racists and merely protesting the fact that a black man was elected president.  The simple fact they think that, actually makes them the racists.  But I do take some joy in all of it.  The fact that they couldn't say why the protesters were wrong, instead, opting for crude humor, shows that they know they are wrong, and they know they are falling.  I will continue to take extreme joy while the left wing media cry and get mean and fall on their faces.  It shows that America is finally taking a stand for what is right.  It shows we know the Constitution and what our forefathers envisioned for this nation.  It shows they do NOT know the constitution and that they do not care what our forefathers envisioned.

If they did, they would have been taking part in the protests.  After all, it was only a few months ago, they were screaming mad about the out of control spending.  But know we know the truth.  We now know they only care about themselves, not America.  They only care about partisan politics.
